Less Than a Month To Go

In just a few short weeks, our wedding day will finally be here, which means we will be seeing you all very soon. Mat and I are beyond excited. And only slightly nervous ;)

I've started experiencing a bit of wedding related stress nightmares. The other night I dreamed that I missed my own wedding! It was awful. I thought it was Thursday and I was looking for my rehearsal dinner dress, when my cousin Hoda informed me it was Friday and I should be getting into my gown. 

Trouble was, it was 6pm and I couldn't find my gown and was in a fake wedding dress. I remember sulking, saying "but I've already missed hair and make up, and I've missed all the photos, and I don't think I'll be ready in time for the ceremony".

How awful right? Just a dream though, and I've taken the necessary steps to make sure that doesn't happen!

Here are some updates on the wedding:

• This Thursday, Oct 21 is the last day to book the discounted room rates at Roosevelt Hotel.

• Air Tran Airways still has the 10% discounted rates for guests flying in for our wedding. Information is in the Travel section.

• During the ceremony, we ask that children under 10 not be in the ballroom. We have two great and experienced babysitters on site who will watch your kids for that hour. If you are interested in hiring a babysitter for the whole night, then please reach out.

• Ladies staying at the Roosevelt Hotel who are interested in having their hair done for the wedding, can make appointments at the Jean-Claude Biguine Salon located right next to the hotel. The salon is located on 61 East 45th Street and Vanderbilt and can be reached at 212.818.0908 or 212.867.8534. The manager there has a heads up about our large wedding party, and has offered the following pricing: $60 for up-does, $39 for short hair, and $49 for long hair.

• The bus will pick up guests staying at the Roosevelt hotel in the lobby at 5pm on Friday, November 12 from the Madison Avenue at 45th Street entrance. Please be in the lobby ready to board the bus by 5pm, as the bus will depart at 5:30 sharp to deliver guests to Capitale. If you do miss it, don't fret, there are cabs everywhere. The bus will pick up from Capitale at midnight to pick up guests and return them at Roosevelt Hotel at the end of the evening.
