Our invitation illustrator Ailbhe from Pretty As A Picture recently put up a post about our invitation suite and I wanted to share it. She was such a pleasure to work with in the months leading up to the wedding and we love her drawings and the illustration she created for us.
She made this inspiration board from the different elements I sent to help her come up with the design. I'm basically copying and pasting what she wrote, but you can read it for yourself on her blog here. Cool news is that she just recently got engaged, and I can't wait to see the design she comes up with for her own invitations!
- Venetian masks that will be featured at the wedding
- “Besides being a fan of the movie, The labyrinth to us means the journey we all take in life, and Mat and I definitely went through a journey to find each other.”
- The perfect pose for the couple to be depicted.
- Art Deco inspired beautifully beaded Lazaro wedding dress.
- Magellen the cat, whom Mat and Elhaam rescued from the NY Animal Shelter.
- Elhaam adores this Zeigfeld girls print, it is her source of inspiration for the wedding invitations.
- Mat’s vintage style suit.
- Examples of intricate frames.
