Mat and I are back from Orlando where we spent 3 fabulous days at the stunning Waldorf Astoria and went running around Disneyworld. We spent our first day at Epcot Center and visited landmarks of the world in just a few hours. Our first ride of the day was a mission to space which nearly wiped us out. It was so realistic, we both felt sick after.
After a couple of more chill rides, we went to watch Captain EO, which is back!!! It did not disappoint and maybe even more exciting than when I saw it about 20 so years ago. This is Mat's first trip to Disneyworld and he was beyond impressed.
We ate lots of amazing junk food. Mat and I are so happy to be eating junk food again! After a long day at the park, we made it back to our comfy hotel suite in time to enjoy the melange of desserts the hotel treated us to while watching the Epcot Center fireworks from our room!
In the morning, we grabbed a quick bite and took the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. We were both so excited and happy, running around taking photos. Our first ride was Space Mountain and it's hard to top that! We managed to get through the entire park in record speed thanks to it being an off time of year. Hardly any lines at all, but still perfect weather. Racing in the cars was a lot of fun.
I was very excited when I spotted these Minnie ears and I want to wear them all the time now. They are so cute! I didn't take them off for the rest of the day. The Mickey ice cream was very yummy! I had two! The park gave us "happily ever after pins" so everyone would know we were on our honeymoon. No special treatment, but they did congratulate us every chance they got.
Once the sun set, the castle lit up in all these gorgeous lights. We ate some mini corn dogs and made our way to the perfect spot to watch the fireworks. Back at the hotel, we watched The Princess and the Frog in bed and ordered up the most amazing tuna burger we've ever had. In the morning, we got room service again for breakfast and had a delicious french toast with cream, fruit, bacon, and Mat had fried eggs and home fries.
